The Acadiana Center for the Arts serves as a re-granting agency for Acadiana to support exhibits, performances, workshops, public art, audience services and the creation of new works, while providing access to professional expertise and training in various arts disciplines and arts administration.


Currently, the Community Development Department of the AcA administers two arts re-granting programs, Decentralized Arts Funding, serving Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion Parishes, is funded by the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism and the Arts and Culture External Agencies Funding Program, is funded by Lafayette Consolidated Government for Lafayette Parish.

All AcA grant programs are competitive. Applications may be fully funded, partially funded or not funded based on the number and quality of applications received and available funds. Grant awards are made based on a panel review process. The AcA welcomes panelist nominations from all parts of the region.

The staff of the AcA is available for technical assistance prior to grant deadlines. Applicants may request help designing a successful project, selecting artists to participate in the project, and completing the application form.
