


ARTS AND CULTURE FUNDING PROGRAM 2013-2014
Funding Period: November 1, 2013 to October 15, 2014
This is a Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government sponsored, Acadiana Center for the Arts administered, Arts and Culture Funding Program designed to support arts projects, as well as the operations of arts and culture organizations, that will significantly enhance the arts and cultural life of the community and promote local artists and the arts in Lafayette Parish.
Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage and/or present arts and culture to the public.
This arts and culture funding program has two different grant categories:
1. Operations Grant (range $1,000 to $10,000) - may be used for expenses such as professional salaries, employee benefits, transportation, supplies and materials, telephone, utilities, postage, travel and meetings, rent, equipment/maintenance, and insurance
2. Project Grant (range $1,000 to $7,500) for projects to include (but not limited to): performances, exhibits, classes, workshops, technical assistance, and the creation of new art works
Applications are due to the AcA by 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 for projects taking place between November 1, 2013 and October 15, 2014. Applications received after this time will not be accepted unless postmarked June 28, 2013 or earlier.

The Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) will designate a grants panel to review the applications and make funding recommendations to be presented to the AcA Board of Directors, then to the Lafayette City-Parish Council. This is a competitive program, please keep in mind, an application may or may not be funded, dependent on the number of applicants, the amount of award money available and the application score based on the evaluation criteria. The acceptance of an application does not intend to imply that it will be automatically funded for the 2013/2014 Lafayette Consolidated Government External Agency Period of Performance. Applicants will be notified prior to the beginning of the grant round about the results of the application.
