STUDENT ARTS EXPO presented by Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) and Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) in partnership with Downtown Lafayette and Lafayette Consolidated Government The Student Arts Expo is an annual event designed to increase public knowledge and appreciation of the arts by and for the youth of the community.
The Student Arts Expo is a joint effort of the AcA and LPSS, with support from Downtown Lafayette and Lafayette Consolidated Government. These agencies are working together to pair businesses willing to offer a space with a school group seeking a host site for a visual arts exhibits.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE To participate in the Student Arts Expo events, teachers should fill out the School Participation Form and submit it to Paige Krause at the AcA by April 5, in order to be matched with an appropriate site.

EXPO TIMELINE
April 5, 2013 Deadline for participating schools and businesses to submit participation forms.
April 19, 2013 Schools and businesses will be paired and notified.
Following April 19, teachers contact their host sites directly to coordinate a set-up and take-down schedule. Please do this in a timely manner.
May 11, 2013 Student Arts Expo
10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. Chalk Walk
2:00 p.m. Opening Ceremonies
2:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Student Arts Expo
8:00 p.m. Exhibits are dismantled, unless other arrangements have been made with host site.
