Nick Forster

As a founding member of the celebrated bluegrass band, Hot Rize, musician and songwriter Nick Forster has performed for audiences worldwide. He’s been on countless radio and television programs, including ‘A Prairie Home Companion’, ‘The Grand Ol’ Opry’ and ‘Austin City Limits’. Rolling Stone Magazine calls Nick “an exceptional songwriter . . . unquestionably a virtuoso.” As the host/musical director of eTown, his quick warm wit, stellar musicianship and strong vocals are hallmarks of the show. Nick continues to perform and record with various artists, including, Hot Rize.

Helen Forster

As co-host of eTown, actress/vocalist Helen Forster lends her golden-toned voice to both the spoken word and the musical portions of the show (providing harmony vocals for guest artists like Dallas Green aka City & Colour, James Taylor, Gregory Alan Isakov, Steve Earle, Mavis Staples, Brett Dennen, Parker Millsap, Sarah McLachlan, JJ Grey and more). In addition to Helen’s role at eTown, her career as a veteran of stage, film and voice performance includes several years as a commercial voice-over talent, member of two formal theater companies and performer/writer in SRO Theater Troupe, an improv group. She has also performed as a vocalist on A Prairie Home Companion and at venues and festivals around the country.
