Artist and Master Craftsman, Arthur McViccar, has lived in Louisiana for 14 years. Originally from Michigan, he loves using local and native woods in his work. Trained as a theatre designer and carpenter, his work has evolved to creating three-dimensional mixed-media wall sculptures. He has studied woodturning with international instructors in Vermont, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. He also holds a Master Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Historic Preservation, serving on Historic Preservation Commissions in both Michigan and Louisiana. His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and universities nation-wide.
