SUMMARY:Tax Planning for Creatives with Seth Norris | Creative Acadiana
DESCRIPTION:With tax time just around the corner, Seth Norris will help creatives prepare for filing your 2023 taxes, with or without the help of a paid preparer. He will provide an overview of tax issues affecting artists, including income and expense tracking, deductions and entity types. The workshop is appropriate for individual artists working in all disciplines and at any point in their careers looking for advice and information to help in preparing their 2023 taxes.\nSeth Norris\nSeth graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2008. He has been a licensed CPA since 2011, with nine years of experience working for public accounting firms. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA). Seth served on the Financial Literacy Task Force and the Career Awareness Committee of LCPA. He is a past President of LCPA’s Acadiana Chapter, and is Immediate Past Chair of LCPA’s Board of Directors. Seth has experience in tax, auditing, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. He was the CFO of Cottonport Bank for 5 years until launching his own accounting practice in December of 2022. He loves solving problems and helping people with their business.\nAcA is committed to making our programming as accessible as possible.
