DESCRIPTION:Please join Acadiana Center for the Arts for a reception and private view of its next main gallery exhibition IN MEDIAS RES: How One Story Becomes Another—a group exhibition featuring artworks from local and regional artists in dialogue with the poetry of former Louisiana poet laureate Darrell Bourque.\nFeatured artists include Megan Barra, Karen Bourque, Leroy Evans, Gloria Fiero, Meghan Fleming, Lynda Frese, John Geldersma, Bill Gingles, Danny Girouard, Terry Clay Girouard, Philip Gould, Kelly Guidry, John Hathorn, James Hebert, William Lewis, Elemore Morgan Jr., Nicole Bourque-Reiss, Gabrielle Savoy, Tanya Nehrbass Schultze, Will Turley, Russell Whiting, Dennis Paul Williams\nAttendees at this exclusive event will get a “first look” at the exhibition before it opens to the public and will have an opportunity to meet and toast the artists from the exhibit. Throughout his five-decade career in writing, Borque has drawn inspiration from artists and artworks, which he explores through his poetry. The exhibition features artworks paired with Bourque’s writing.
