This Lafayette Consolidated Government sponsored, Acadiana Center for the Arts administered, Arts and Culture Funding Program is designed to support arts projects and the operations of arts and culture organizations that will significantly enhance the arts and cultural life of the community, while promoting local artists and the arts in Lafayette Parish.

Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage and/or present arts and culture to the public. An organization may submit one application for each of the two categories.

This is a competitive program and an application may or may not be funded, depending on the number of applicants, the amount of award money available, and the application score based on the evaluation criteria. The acceptance of an application does not intend to imply that it will be automatically funded.

The current funding period is November 1, 2019 – October 5, 2020.

Provides funding for a wide variety of arts projects and programs with artistic value that meet specific community needs.


Provides funding for operating expenses, such as salaries, supplies, and utilities, of arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. Up to 25% of the previous year’s annual operating revenues and no more than $5,000.
