Lost My Gig Encore Fundraiser

Lost My Gig
Encore Fundraiser

At the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, Acadiana stepped up to support local musicians who lost their livelihood through cancelled gigs. The community donated over $33,000 to ‘Lost My Gig Fund’, benefitting 106 struggling local musicians. Today, stages still stand empty, and full-time local musicians are still struggling.
This Thanksgiving, Social Entertainment in partnership with Acadiana Center for the Arts launch the ‘Lost My Gig – Encore Fundraiser’, presented by Axis Behavioral Health and Recovery

The community is asked to step back into the spotlight, and to show it’s appreciation and support towards our local musicians  ‘ecore’ during this two-week long fundraiser. The ‘Lost My Gigs – Encore Fundraiser’ kicks off on Friday, November 13th and ends on Friday, November 27th.

Three ways to contribute:

  1. Make a secure online donation to the Lost My Gig Fund via Paypal.

2. Donate through the Facebook Fundraiser here

3. Or mail or deliver a check to AcA (101 W. Vermilion St, Lafayette, LA 70501) and include “Lost My Gig” in the memo line.

About the Application for Musicians

Lost My Gig Encore will award full-time local musicians who live in Acadiana (Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Vermilion), whose creative practices and incomes are being adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We realize that with events of all types being cancelled to reduce spread of COVID-19, musicians who make income through gigs and freelance work are losing critical opportunities to support their well-being in our region.

Application Cycle

The application will open on  Friday, November 13, 2020 and close on Friday, November 27, 2020. Please note that reviewing the applications by following the deadlines will take time, as well as, determining the awards to applicants, and have payments processed. Payments will be expedited as soon as possible while maintaining AcA’s high standards for financial reporting.

Accepted applicants will be required to submit a completed W9 to AcA.

If you have specific questions, please email AcA Outreach Director Paige Krause or call 337-233-7060.
