About Lost My Gig Fund

This fund is a partnership between Social Entertainment and Acadiana Center for the Arts to support Acadiana musicians adversely affected by the pandemic. From March 2020 to present, the Acadiana community has donated over $60,000 to, which has benefitted more than 200 struggling local musicians. 

Lost My Gig Fund is available to full-time musicians who live in Acadiana (Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Vermilion) and whose creative practice and income has been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

2021 Application Cycle

This funding cycle will be open for applications beginning on  Tuesday, May 4, 2021 and close on [UPDATED: Sunday, May 31st] at 6pm. Applicants must complete the below form to apply. 

Please note: Payments will be expedited as soon as possible while maintaining AcA’s high standards for financial reporting. Accepted applicants will be required to submit a completed W9 to AcA before receiving payment.

  • The artist/applicant must be an musician, defined as one who is dedicated to producing music on a full time basis, and who can demonstrate that he or she is facing financial hardship due to COVID-19
  • The artist/applicant must be 21 years of age or older
  • The artist/applicant must be a resident of Acadiana – Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, or Vermilion Parishes
  • The artist/applicant must not be a current board member, honorary committee member, major funder, staff member, or immediate family member of such a person of the Acadiana Center for the Arts
  • The artist/applicant cannot apply on behalf of any organization, collective, company, band, group, and/or ensemble
