Led by Dr. Margot Hasha, Professor of Sociology, University of Louisiana at Lafayette
In Part I of this two-part series, participants will gain a broad understanding of the impact of ACEs and neglect on the developing brains of children, as well as the impact of Covid-19 on students’ issues of grief, anxiety, and classroom behavior. Participants will also learn about Compassion Fatigue among educators and the role of teachers’ own ACEs in contributing to classroom burnout. Finally, participants will learn simple mindfulness methods for reducing both teacher and student stress.
