About AcA Arts in Education
The arts are a powerful teaching tool. The AcA's Arts in Education and Outreach programs provide arts experiences to students as well as tools to teachers for integrating the arts into the education experience. These programs, presented by the Acadiana Center for the Arts and Lafayette Parish School System, are interdisciplinary learning adventures designed to connect real-life experiences with academic instruction through a broad range of quality arts events and workshops.

Acadiana Center for the Arts

Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) is a publicly supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are the central cultural hub of Acadiana, an eight-parish region comprised of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes. From our origins as an arts council established in 1975, we have transformed into one of the largest arts organizations in Louisiana. AcA’s public facility is in the heart of downtown Lafayette featuring an intimate theater, large museum-quality galleries, as well as workshop, rehearsal, and office spaces.
