Pride Acadiana: Lafayette Queer Film Showcase

Join us at AcA for this queer film showcase fundraiser for Acadiana Queer Collective, screening four short films by local artists, curated by Cory St. Ewart.
At 12pm you can also view all of the Silent Auction items in the cafe.
Films will begin at 12:30pm, followed by a panel discussion.
1. Eva Wants to Stay In

What happens when in a relationship when one partner wants to stay in and the other wants to go out on the town? After coming home exhausted from work, Eve is confronted by a literal pile of chores and her wife, Audrey, ready to hit the town. After a verbal back and forth, Eva reveals the real reason she is reluctant to leave their home messy for the night.
2. Mudbugs

A short documentary that shows what working behind the scenes in the crawfish industry in Souther Louisiana looks like for some.
3. EntangleMEN: from the dugout
Film By: Helanius J. Wilkins in collaboration with Watcheye Studios
EntangleMEN: from the dugout centers on a male duet exploring coexistence through an exhaustive collision course of in-between states. Wheat fields, spillway infrastructures, and baseball dugouts on indigenous territories of Arapaho, Cheyenne and Ute Nations set the scenes for this viscerally charged work.
4. Chicken

Pride refreshments will be available on the day with $1 from each beverage being donated to the AQC.
