About

Dr. Brandon Ballengée & Aurore Ballengée
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2018
4:30–7:30 PM
For teachers of grades 1–5
Vermilionville

This workshop is designed to introduce teachers to color found in the natural environment and its use biologically as well as an artistic medium. Teachers will participate in a hands-on demonstration of creating ‘natural’ paint from fruits, spices and vegetables while talking about plant chemistry, biology and evolution. Then, they will use these fruit-vegetable-spice paints to make nature-themed murals on large sheets of paper. Teachers will also learn about the color/nutrition relationship and create nature sodas using fruits & herbs.
