The Instrumental Legacy of Dr. Tommy Comeaux

Friday, April 3, 2020

An exploration of Dr. Tommy Comeaux's legacy as a musician, instrument collector

Sonny Landreth and many of Dr. Comeaux’ friends and admirers come together to tell the story of the rare and beautiful instruments that he collected in his lifetime.

Joined by the young students of folk and traditional music who have benefitted from the creation of the Dr. Tommy Comeaux Traditional Music program at UL, this evening will celebrate both new and old music and a few of the finest instruments in the world.

This Louisiana Crossroads concert will coincide with the release of a new UL Press book based on his famed collection of vintage stringed instruments.

This event was cancelled in light of the recent outbreak of COVID-19. If you require a refund or have any questions, contact Clayton Shelvin at clayton@acadianacenterforthearts.org.
