About

AcA Residency

THIRST, a new contemporary dance work, examines the forces of desire, creativity, burnout, inspiration, and persistence through the medium of dance and water.  THIRST invites the audience to plunge headfirst into the driving current of the existential need to create and the many obstacles that emerge through the process of daring to forge art.

Acadiana Center for the Arts

Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) is a publicly supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are the central cultural hub of Acadiana, an eight-parish region comprised of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes. From our origins as an arts council established in 1975, we have transformed into one of the largest arts organizations in Louisiana. AcA’s public facility is in the heart of downtown Lafayette featuring an intimate theater, large museum-quality galleries, as well as workshop, rehearsal, and office spaces.
