Wednesday, February 23, 2022

Presented by Shelly Breaux, Arts Educator

Most appropriate for grades 6–12

The past two years have presented us with times of the unknown, self-reflection and focusing on the social emotional learning of our students. Using the work of African American artist Eugene Martin, participants will go through a process of developing empathic awareness by using narrative techniques, such as dialogue, description and reflection. After analyzing the work of Eugene Martin, participants will be able to evolve their own interpretations into writing and creating.
