Project LOLA: Art+Technology Experiment is moving along!

In these last few weeks, AcA received our LoLa node and configured it in the James Devin Moncus Theater at AcA. Also, LUS Fiber began setting up our Internet2 connection, which has been made possible through LUS Fiber as well as the Edith Garland Dupré Library at the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
This week, we tested our LoLa software and Internet2 connection with the Chattanooga Public Library. We are thrilled to report that our first LoLa test was a success and we are actively working toward decreasing milliseconds of connectivity. Musicians in Lafayette and Chattanooga should be well on their way to begin rehearsals leading up to the public event.
The experimental event at AcA will be open to the public for observation. Anyone interested in learning more information about Project LoLa is welcomed to visit lola.acadianacenterforthearts.org. Also, recorded content will be made available for use by scholars and the community as part of the Cajun and Creole Music Collection of the University Libraries at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
