French Language Mural at Scott Middle School
As part of the Louisiana Division of the Arts (LDOA) Percent for the Arts Program, Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) is seeking proposals from local artists for the Public Art in Schools Mural Grant Program.
The goal is to bring hands-on enrichment to school arts programs by engaging with students in the French Immersion program and then working with students by installing public art of lasting value at the selected school.

Applications Open: August 23, 2024
Application Deadline: September 16, 2024
Notification Date: Late September
Mural Completion: October 31, 2024

Eligible Applicants:
- Be 18 years of age or older by submission deadline
- Be a resident of Acadiana’s 8-parish region (Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Vermilion)
- Be an emerging artist, qualified as someone who has 5 years or less of professional artistic experience
- Be able to complete the mural by October 31, 2024
