About

This Lafayette Consolidated Government sponsored, Acadiana Center for the Arts administered, Arts and Culture Funding Program is designed to support arts projects and the operations of arts and culture organizations that will significantly enhance the arts and cultural life of the community, while promoting local artists and the arts in Lafayette Parish.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage, and/or present arts and culture to the public.

The Grants

Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage, and/or present arts and culture to the public.

Project Grant:

Provides funding for a wide variety of arts projects and programs, from these recognized arts disciplines, that meet specific community needs.

Operations Grant:

Provides funding for operating expenses, such as salaries, supplies, and utilities, of arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. Up to 25% of the previous year’s annual operating revenues and no more than $5,000.

Important Dates:

Funding Cycle: November 1, 2022 to October 5, 2023

Submissions Open: Sunday, July 10, 2022

Draft Review Deadline: Tuesday, July 26, 2022 by 5:00pm

Application Deadline: Tuesday, August 9, 2022 submitted via the online form by 5:00pm

Notification Date: Late October

All applicants are encouraged to contact the Community Development Department to discuss eligibility prior to submitting an application.

A draft of your application may be submitted for review in advance of the deadline, but no later than 5pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Applications must be submitted via the online form no later than 5pm on Friday, August 9, 2022.

Before submitting, please have ready and available Name and Email address of the ‘Program Manager/Contact Person’, ‘Authorizing Official’ and ‘Chief Fiscal Officer’

  • ‘Program Manager/Contact Person’ is the contact person and individual who will be directly responsible for the implementation of the activities of the project.
  • ‘Authorizing Official’ is the president of the board or other individual with the authority to enter into a legal contract on behalf of the agency.
  • ‘Chief Fiscal Officer’ is the individual immediately responsible for the disbursement of funds for the project.
