RÊVERIE is an exhibition of mixed media paintings, objects and sculpture which explore southern identity in radical and playful ways on display in the Side Gallery from September 14 – October 26, 2024.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rozalyn LeCompte was born and raised by musicians in Acadiana and has created art since she could hold a crayon. She has been a full-time artist since retiring from the Healing Arts profession in 2017.

Roz has recently transitioned from creating and running a musical accessory brand back to her first love of painting. She is self-taught and has explored many mediums including recycled sculpture, poetry, and mixed media collage. She has journeyed from abstract to a chaotic whimsical folk art style that allows her to filter her life experiences onto the wood canvases that she builds.
