Bruci Gauthier: Finding Peace with Nature
Bruci Gauthier has always drawn and produced art with her hands using Mother Nature as her inspiration. She’s also an avid gardener. It was only after enrolling in a leisure learning pottery class in 1994 that she was introduced to the versatility of creating art using clay. Since then, she has devoted her spare to time making pottery as well as drawing and growing flowers, vegetables and white, Acadian brown and green cotton.
Bruci throws and sculpts her pottery, using soft pastel pencils for commissioned pet and people portraits. With her cotton fiber work, she cards, spins cotton yarn then weaves her home grown cotton into table runners.
