Rooted in both Lafayette and New Orleans, Dion Pierre is an electric and upright bass virtuoso whose music bridges genres—from jazz and Afro jazz to funk and zydeco. A two-time GRAMMY nominee with Dwayne Dopsie and The Zydeco Hellraisers, Dion has toured the world, performing on stages from New Orleans Jazz Fest to Umbria Jazz, and sharing bills with legends like Trombone Shorty and George Benson.
