The World, According to J-S.A.N.D.
J-S.A.N.D. is a Louisiana-based creative, most known for his thought-provoking lyricism, hard-hitting production, and witty wordplay. The Lafayette native is also a producer, graphic designer, director, & film editor. His musical resume includes opening for artists such as Kash Doll, Rico Nasty, Partners N Crime, Saba, & Young Nudy, and doing graphic artwork for a number of other artists. J-S.A.N.D. has also received notable co-signs and worked with many legendary figures within his genre, solidifying him as one of the most promising rising talents of his generation. Born and raised in Acadiana, J-S.A.N.D. takes great pride in his hometown and desires to create art that is as flavorful as his city.
“The World, According to J-S.A.N.D.,” will be a live, interactive hip-hop show that will leave all in attendance with a new perspective on life. The show will be a musical TEDtalk of sorts, in which J-S.A.N.D. (along with a few guests) will touch on everyday-life topics (relationships, grief, joy, disappointment, pride, etc.) through song. The set list consists of select songs from his most-recent offerings, “The Perks of Solitude,” and “It’s Not Always About You,” in addition to a number of unreleased songs from his forthcoming album. Each selection will correspond with one of the topics mentioned above. At various points in the show, J-S.A.N.D. will welcome and solicit audience commentary and participation in order for the show to become a truly shared experience. This way, every person in attendance is guaranteed to leave knowing of a perspective different from their own.
