Jennifer Herbert is a mixed media artist that has a love for creating art from discorded books. She creates altered books, soul collages, prompt guided art and paper collages. Jennifer is a teaching artist in the PACE program and has shared her passion for art through teaching both regular and Montessori disciplines to students for the past 22 years.
In addition, she has been a private art instructor and has taught summer camp programs for many years at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Jennifer has developed and led several Professional Development workshops for teachers on altered books that incorporated language arts and art integration. Jennifer has partnered with teachers in developing and presenting art grants to their students.
Her art has been on exhibit in both individual and group shows. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in Visual Arts.
