AcA’s NXT Series, presented by Ray Flores and Wright, Moore, Dehart, Dupuis & Hutchinson, LLC, showcases artists from Acadiana, often at the outset of their careers. The series aims to support the growth of local musicians and other performing artists creating significant new work in their discipline.

What is the NXT series?
In the NXT series, AcA presents performing artists from across Acadiana. This series aims to support the growth of local artists creating significant work and aims to bring new audiences into the AcA for these special shows.
Artists will collaborate with AcA to develop, market, budget, and execute a live production. Artists will receive a portion of ticket sales as professional compensation.
Artists across all performing disciplines are encouraged to apply. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, all genres of music, dance, and theatrical productions.
Who is eligible to apply?
The NXT series is a call for artists who meet the following requirements:
- Over 18 years old
- Are a resident of Acadiana’s 8-parish region (Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, or Vermilion Parish) -OR- were a permanent resident of the same region within the last six years
- Are an early career artist (under 5 years of professional experience) or a Mid-career artist (5-15 years of professional experience)

Applications close on Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at 11:59pm.
