Artist Round Up: Dioramas

AcA’s Artist Roundups gather together artists and creatives for a casual night of making connections while also making art. By bringing artists of various backgrounds together, Artist Roundups hope to encourage dialogue and collaboration across artistic disciplines and create a shared sense of community and belonging.

This month, learn from AcA exhibiting artist Kate Gordon how to build small-scale collaged dioramas from paintings and found magazine clippings. The workshop will encourage artists to think spatially while using two-dimensional imagery. It will also offer the concept of using dioramas as a means to visualize exhibition plans and even curate spaces. Creatives of all levels and disciplines are encouraged to attend. Materials will be provided.
