Acadiana Center for the Arts is actively working to connect individuals in the Acadiana arts and cultural sector with much needed resources during the national response to the COVID-19 virus. With cancelled festivals, shuttered museums, and the entire arts and entertainment eco-system “on hold,” the AcA is looking to support the individuals and organizations that are responsible for Louisiana’s cultural vibrancy and incredible quality of life. Please know that the safety and health of our community is and always will be our top priority. While our doors may be closed, the staff of AcA is hard at work.
We will keep resources for individual artists and cultural organizations updated on our page Creative Relief. Also available is the AcA email and hotline for questions.
In response to the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent school closures, AcA took one of its most distinguished in-school programs and adapted it for remote learning.
PACE Online is targeted at Elementary level students, and each video is led by a professional AcA teaching artist.
AcA’s performances through May 1 have been cancelled in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. For online events and remote house concerts, join our Facebook group Performing Arts in Acadiana.
For questions about refunds or to donate your tickets to AcA’s COVID-19 response efforts, email Performing Arts Director Clayton Shelvin.
AcA’s galleries are closed to the public until further notice in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Please join our Facebook group Visual Arts in Acadiana to engage with our exhibitions and artists online.
