Artist Talk: Artists’ Alliance & Tattooed Walls

Join former members of the Artists’ Alliance in the AcA Moncus Theater as they perform a demonstration of one of their most famous art formats: Tattooed Walls. Through the use of an overhead projector, Tattooed Walls turns visual artmaking into a shifting performance piece that transforms in real time. As building sized images take shape, warp, and disappear, musicians and dancers respond in kind, creating a jazz-like improvisational experience that defies disciplinary boundaries.

After the performance, our artists will join AcA Visual Arts Director Jaik Faulk in a discussion of their inspirations and process, as well as the history and legacy of the Tattoed Walls form.
