Art Across Generations explores the value of creating meaningful connections between artists of different generations. This session will look at how mentorship, collaboration, storytelling, and shared experiences can help preserve artistic traditions while also making space for new ideas and perspectives.
About the Facilitator
Leigha T. Porter is a choreographer, director, producer, creative entrepreneur, and arts educator whose work lives at the intersection of movement, culture, storytelling, and community. With more than a decade of experience in the arts and education, she has built a multifaceted career creating and producing culturally rooted artistic experiences while developing the next generation of artists.
Leigha is the Founder and Artistic Director of FE Conservatory, Executive Director of Heritage Parc, founder of Parc Village, and co-creator and director of The Creole Nutcracker. Her experience spans choreography, creative direction, producing, arts education, program development, mentorship, cultural preservation, and arts administration. Her choreographic work has been presented nationally and internationally, and as a creative entrepreneur, she continues to build platforms, programs, and experiences that connect artistry, culture, education, and community.
