Artist Round Up: Creative Movement for Creative People

AcA’s Artist Roundups gather together artists and creatives for a casual night of making connections while also making art. By bringing artists of various backgrounds together, Artist Roundups hope to encourage dialogue and collaboration across artistic disciplines and create a shared sense of community and belonging.

In this session, led by dancer and former Artist Alliance member Cissy Whip, we’ll build community and spark joy through Creative Movement. Using the art of dance, we will respond to the visual artwork in the Artists’ Alliance show. We will use journaling to reflect on artwork and on the various movement explorations. Together, we will build some short dance phrases inspired by what we have experienced. This is a low-stress workshop that does not require prior knowledge of dance and can be adapted for any age or ability. Dress comfortably!
