Music Mosaic: A Year of Sound and Place – Creole
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Children’s Museum of Acadiana will launch a genre-spanning, locally rooted music series that brings Louisiana’s cultural soundtrack to life for the next generation. As the Museum honors three decades of learning through play, “Music Mosaic: A Year of Sound and Place,” reimagines its historic home exhibit (Stuffee’s house) as a stage for heritage, rhythm, and connection deepening children’s sense of place through joyful, monthly encounters with live music. It’s not just a celebration, it’s a legacy project rounding the CMA’s past in Acadiana’s future.
Throughout 2026, “Music Mosaic: A Year of Sound and Place,” will occur on the first Saturday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m.
This month features Creole music by Christine Balfa
