Twenty Years of Valcour Records
For two decades, Valcour Records has stood at the heart of Louisiana’s roots renaissance — preserving the traditions of Cajun, Creole, zydeco, and folk while amplifying the voices shaping its future. Founded in Eunice, Louisiana, by partners Joel Savoy and Phillip LaFargue, Valcour has become a touchstone for the state’s cultural identity, producing award-winning albums and nurturing artists whose music carries the sound and soul of Acadiana to audiences around the world.
This special Louisiana Crossroads concert brings together the label’s musicians and collaborators for an evening that honors Valcour’s 20-year journey. Through live collaborations and stories, this evening traces the label’s evolution from a group of friends recording in Savoy’s living room, to a nationally respected imprint.
