Festivals Acadiens et Créoles: Banners & Posters

Since 1974 Festivals Acadiens et Créoles has been bringing together the music, culture and traditions of Acadiana. AcA celebrates the 2026 edition of the festival with an exhibition of large-scale festival grounds banners and a host of vintage posters. Join us here at AcA for the official poster reveal on ArtWalk September 12th, 2026 at 5:30pm in AcA’s Atrium.

This exhibition features a number of vintage posters from the early years of Festivals Acadiens et Créoles. Many of these designs originate from the photography of Philip Gould, an expert at capturing historic moments Gould’s work has been a foremost influence on how we vision the festival.

Prominent among the banner design is the artwork of Benny Graeff displayed within this exhibition are a number of his designs that grace the festival grounds each year. Venture out to this year’s Festivals Acadiens et Créoles at Girard Park, October 9th – 11th 2026 to see these banners in their true home, peppered between dance floors and stages setting the vibe for another fabulous celebration.
