Fostering Art and Culture in Acadiana

Founded as the Acadiana Arts Council in 1975, Acadiana Center for the Arts (“AcA”) is a nonprofit organization members and donors that has been a cornerstone of arts and culture for five decades.

As the community leader in arts and culture, AcA serves to bring elevating arts experiences to the people of Acadiana through many approaches including holding public concerts, presenting art exhibitions, providing grants to artists and cultural organizations, and bringing artists into schools across the region.

AcA brings equitable access to the arts through year-round education and outreach activities and aims to build a more sustainable cultural ecosystem for future generations in Acadiana across an eight-parish region that includes Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes.

Our Visual Arts department actively seeks out new regional artists as well as showcases leading professionals in the global arts community. The AcA’s exhibitions are also the primary anchor of Lafayette’s monthly ArtWalk and impacts over 20,000 patrons directly.
