Chad Huval, PhD from Texas A&M and research at MIT, is an accomplished accordion player and innovator. He has written an unpublished book about how to play the diatonic accordion in the Cajun and Creole style. He has deeply researched the early roots of French music in Louisiana and continues to teach how to actually play the main instruments: accordion, fiddle and guitar, as well as being involved in the scholarly aspect of research and study. He currently performs with several bands including the Huval Family Band and Beausoleil.
