Born and raised in Acadiana, Lydia Young-Green is an accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts focusing on dance. Currently, Lydia is a graduate student at Wilson College where she will earn a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography in Summer 2024.
Lydia participated in the Horton Teacher Workshop by way of the Ailey School and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Over the course of Lydia’s teaching career, she has taught pre-professional dancers, community dancers, underprivileged youth, and people with physical and developmental disabilities.
