United Way of Acadiana And Acadiana Center For the Arts Launch Grants For Teachers to Provide Funding for Arts & Innovation

LAFAYETTE, LA – United Way of Acadiana and Acadiana Center for the Arts announce a call for applications to Education Innovation Grants and Arts Grants for Teachers. Education Innovation Grants for Teachers are live now on UWA’s website. Arts Grants for Teachers are live now on AcA’s website.

Education Innovation Grants for Teachers support teachers and classrooms in their mission to create engaging, innovative, and inclusive learning environments. This grant aims to empower educators by providing them with the necessary resources, tools, and opportunities to elevate their teaching practices and enhance the overall classroom experience.

Arts Grants for Teachers grant program encourages teachers to design and develop artistically creative and innovative projects involving the visual and performing arts. These projects can help to develop understanding and appreciation of the arts, complement other arts-related activities already implemented in the schools, provide direct student involvement in the arts, develop permanent arts resources, integrate arts into other academic disciplines or provide support for teachers to become more proficient in the arts.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the Information Session in-person or on Zoom on August 29, 2023 at 4:30pm. During these sessions, AcA and UWA staff will review the grant programs guidelines and application process and lead a Q&A session with attendees.

Register for the August 29, 2023 Information Session here.

Full details of what kinds of projects qualify for support and how to apply are available on UWA’s website and AcA’s website.
