Cathy Mills & Arthur McViccar: Nature, Two Visions
About the Artists
Cathy Mills is a Lafayette artist who has worked with watercolors, acrylics, printmaking, ceramics, fabrics, and more. Today her focus is painting and ceramics. Her subject matter reflects her love of the magic of birds and their environment rendered in a playful way. Other subjects sneak in and can’t be neglected. Her hope is that her work will bring a sense of well being to all who see it.
Arthur McViccar began working with wood many years ago, training to design scenery for the theatre. A divergent path here, a turn there, and now a visual artist who creates both walling hangings and 3D freestanding sculptures. His reverence for natural materials is reflected in his work.

Why a suggested donation, you ask?
Your donation helps bring art from around the world to our community AND supports local artists who exhibit in AcA’s galleries. Since our founding in 1975 and since this building opened in 2004, AcA has showcased thousands of artists. This space has become a hub for artists and art-loving audiences right here in Acadiana. Your dollars help make both of those things happen!
