The Healthy Artist
Acadiana Center for the Arts transforms its Main Gallery into a resource center for artists in the community. AcA has collaborated with institutions across Acadiana, including Basin Arts and the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum and local businesses to bring new connections and resources to rebuild and nurture the health of local artists and their varying practices.
The exhibition focuses on 4 main criteria for artist health:
- Professional Practices / Financial Well Being
- Mindfulness / Mental & Physical Health
- Creativity within an Artistic Practice
- Connection to Community
There will be many moments for engagement and participation. Workshops and participatory exercises will be featured throughout the duration of this exhibition such as:
