Educators as Artists

Arts educators spend much of their time teaching students how to become better artists, and they spend countless hours showcasing their students’ work. But art teachers are artists, too! This exhibition is a celebration of educators as artists: 14 local art teachers using an array of mediums and techniques.

Acadiana Center for the Arts

Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) is a publicly supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are the central cultural hub of Acadiana, an eight-parish region comprised of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion Parishes. From our origins as an arts council established in 1975, we have transformed into one of the largest arts organizations in Louisiana. AcA’s public facility is in the heart of downtown Lafayette featuring an intimate theater, large museum-quality galleries, as well as workshop, rehearsal, and office spaces.
