LCG Arts & Culture Operations Grant

This Lafayette Consolidated Government sponsored, Acadiana Center for the Arts administered, Arts and Culture Funding Program is designed to support the operations of arts and culture organizations that will significantly enhance the arts and cultural life of the community, while promoting local artists and the arts in Lafayette Parish.

Provides funding for operating expenses, such as salaries, contractors, supplies, and utilities, of arts organizations with 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.

Important Dates:

Applications Open: Monday July 1, 2024

Award Information Session: Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 11:00am via ZOOM. Interested parties may register for the session HERE.

Draft Review Deadline: Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 5:00pm via email to Anna or Gwen

Application Deadline: Monday, August 5, 2024, submitted via the online form by 4:00pm

Notification Date: mid-late October 2024

Funding Cycle: November 1, 2024 to October 5, 2025

Eligible Applicants:

Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage, and/or present arts and culture to the public.

LCG ARTS & CULTURE GRANT APPLICATION

Please read the guidelines and instructions carefully before completing this application.

Applications must be submitted online by 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2024 for operations taking place between November 1, 2024 and October 5, 2025. Applications received after this time will not be accepted. No hand-delivered, mailed or emailed applications will be accepted.
The minimum grant request is $2,500 and the maximum is $7,500.

Please remember, this is a competitive grant process. Therefore, an application may or may not be funded, dependent on the number of applicants, the amount of External Agencies funding available, and the application’s score, which is based on the evaluation criteria.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to be sure that the application is complete and that all required documents are included when turning in the application.
The acceptance of an application does not imply that it will be funded automatically in the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.

Describe programming activities for the current year and projections for next year with inclusive dates or length of program. Include description of productions, exhibits, festivals and any educational programs. Dates must occur between November 1, 2024 and October 5, 2025*

NEED & IMPACT

Evaluation Criteria 20%

Describe the community served by your organization's programs and services. How do your services impact the Greater Lafayette community? How is the community involved with the development of programs and services?*

Address efforts to increase participation, knowledge and/or exposure to the arts.*

Provide a brief description of qualifications and experience of management staff, either paid or volunteer, full and part time. Provider of Service forms or Resume/CV can be attached below under "Optional Supplemental Attachments"*
