Non-Profit Arts & Culture Organizations Eligible for up to $7,500 in Operational Support

LAFAYETTE, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) is again committing support to assist non-profit Arts & Culture organizations in Lafayette Parish with up to $7,500 in funding for operational support. Funded by LCG and administered by Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA) the LCG External Agencies Arts and Culture grant application is open until 4pm on August 5, 2024.

Arts and culture organizations who have 501(c)3 status for at least a year are eligible to apply for this grant which supports the day-to-day operations of organizations, such as salaries, rent, utilities, employee benefits, insurance, etc. A full list of eligible expenses can be found on AcA’s website.

Every year since 1988, AcA has administered this program, soliciting proposals from local nonprofit organizations and recommending available funding for organizations through an independent panel of local experts. LCG sets the amount of funding available during its annual budgeting process.

AcA Executive Director Samuel Oliver said, “This change in granting means that we can more
impactfully help organizations with sustaining their regular operations.”

AcA will be hosting an online grant Information Session on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11am via ZOOM. Interested parties may register for the session HERE.
