Jillian Godshall is a mixed media artist who creates work rooted in documentary storytelling. Originally from Austin, TX, she now lives in Lafayette, LA. Her work strives to celebrate the human spirit. She works collaboratively with her subjects to create projects that are participatory and engaged with the community in which they are being created. She has produced several documentary films that have screened at SXSW and appeared on PBS, TIME.com, and film festivals across the globe. She has over ten years experience teaching digital media and art to young people and the community at large. Her current projects explore animation, photography, folklore, and cyanotype printmaking.
