Mila Granger: The Queen’s Corridor

Imaginative paintings by artist Mila Granger, a member of both the Lafayette Art Association and Louisiana Crafts Guild.

Mila Granger depicts classic themes with no modern subjects, using acrylic paint to tell her story. She preps her canvases from dark to light and begins on painted canvas, She is a fan of color. Mila Granger’s work is mixed with a vivid approach of the celebration of different styles and is ignited with her extreme love of movement.

About the Artist:

Mila Granger is a self-taught artist based in Lafayette, Louisiana. She specializes in working with acrylic paint and oil pastels, creating vibrant and expressive pieces. This marks her third exhibition at the Acadiana Center for the Arts after participating in last year’s juried exhibition, Cur Non, and Open Studio Acadiana in 2023.

Recently, Mila attended an art benefit for Wildlife and Fisheries and appeared on PBS to discuss efforts in saving the whooping crane. She is passionate about environmental conservation and incorporates these values into her art.

“I paint because I need to. My goal is for others to experience my work and either inspire or be inspired by the creative process. I believe that art is essential to life and makes life a little more lively by opening us up to new discussions we might not usually have.” – Mila Granger
